Week 5 in ICT....

In last week of before my placement I learned somethingdifferent which I ever did before. We started to make oneshort video in group. We took one video on first day and itwas fun to shoot the video. And on the next day we werestart to edit the video. That was very hard part. When westarted editing at that time we thought we need some morevideo clips. So on third day we meet and shoot the video.We will complete editing after the placement.

Now I am excited for my placement and busy in making lesson plan, material, activities, and lab work. Also I am thinking about how I can use technology in my placement which I learned in ICT class. I will be teaching Mathematics in grade 11 and Biology in grade 12. So I have so much work.

4th week in ICT......

In fourth week in ICT we learned about pixlr, Compfight, photostory, animoto.Which we could use in our classroom with students. I was very excited to make a photostory and that was nice. Photostory is a nice website that allows to pick photos, music and then make it into a video. That’s good idea to make a gift for someone for some nice memories.  I made so many photostory with nice music and with different images and that was awesome.

I think I could use this in my classroom and students can make different project using digital storytelling in math and science class.

Now I have one new task that is video production. I hope it will be fine……..

3rd week in ICT.....

               I got many information about technology in 3^rd week in ICT class. Some technology which I never try that was amazing. I think technology is additional support in teaching. Using technology like tablets, smart board, document camera, computers, iPads and even with their support teacher can make learning more interesting. I would like to use word docs in my classroom. I can make some quiz in that and lots of things too.

                Nowadays technology changes by the minute, and so as a teacher we need to learn technology which are related to curriculum and even for students. In my last practicum I realized that technology are very useful because that improvemore interest in study and also thinking power. Instead of taking only test on paper for assessment, we could use technology for assessment.
 

Second week in ICT.....

In second week of ICT class was awesome. I learned so many things (which I never know…).
On first day of second week I got information about copy right from J. Finch. I didn’t know so many rules for copy right. That was very good information because we as a teacher should know that kind of things. It’s hard to follow some rule. Because in classroom sometimes I need to play some video which are related to math or science class. Also some teachers play music (especially Radio) in class (as a background voice) for students. But I didn’t know we couldn’t play. Well that was first day.
After that I learned so many new technology in class. Like Padlet, Feedly, Diigo, symbaloo, weebly, pearltrees. I thought at that time,’ Oh, I didn’t know anything about those kind of technology.’ But now I could say , ‘Well, I know something about that all and gradually I am learning more and more when I spend some time for that.’ Padlet is useful which I can use in math and science. I think because of that students will be more interested to solve the problems.
I would like to apply this technology in my classroom too. In math classroom technology is very useful. On other side I would say there are some disadvantages of this technology. In classroom using technology teacher can save the time. It can keep students focused for some longer time. Using technology students are more likely to be interested in, focused on and excited for study.
But on the other hand, technology have reduced the creativity of students and they becomes over dependent on them. In Mathematics students need to practice in problem-solving. Well technology has so many advantages as well as some disadvantages. That’s depends on us how we provide that in our classroom for students.
But I want to use some technology in my math class which can save their time and which provide them more interest. Now I am excited for next week of ICT class to learn new things……

First week in class in ICT...

After long rest in summer break. First week in ICT was nice. I got new experience and
fun learning. New things which gives me more ideas, which can be useful in fieldwork.
I am not familiar with Blog, e Portfolios, word splash, but I got good knowledge about that. That resources and technology are useful for teachers. So I would like to learn that all things to get good
knowledge and new experience.
